Being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder has been the best thing that could have happened to me. Allow me to elaborate.

After living in the hell of a mental disorder without knowing about it, was a relief getting to know the reason of why I was the way I was. Even after attending medical school, I could not figure out the many "whys" that were lingering around in my mind.

Paraphrasing Dr. Phil, you can't change what you don't aknowledge, so why I was supposed to rectify what was wrong with me.

After being diagnosed and getting treatment for the first time, the benefits sarted to show up and I was finally able to function close to normality.

I keep myself in treatment and enjoying a full life with family and friends who love me and don't judge me. I am happy and for that I am extremely grateful.
